An established gallery for contemporary art in Vienna with an extensive private collection

This centrally located gallery in Vienna is one of the leading institutions in the Austrian art market and has established itself as a platform for contemporary art. With 2,500 potential clients , approximately 330 buyers , and more than 50 represented artists , the business has a solid foundation. The founder wishes to devote more time to another industry in the future and is therefore offering the gallery, as well as a large portion of his private contemporary art collection, for sale. History & Development After successfully establishing a gallery location in an Austrian state capital, the business model was strategically expanded to Vienna. Since 2018, an attractive network has been built within the Austrian contemporary art scene. The gallery has represented and supported numerous artists and has built up an extensive client base of more than 2,500 buyers, collectors, and art enthusiasts . Opening receptions, exhibitions, and participation in national and international art fairs have strengthened the gallery’s visibility, market position, and client relationships. Upon request, existing fair booths and corresponding contacts can be taken over. Investments In recent years, several hundred thousand euros have been invested in the location, equipment, brand development, market positioning, and the client and artist network. This has resulted in an established brand, valuable contacts, professional premises , and an attractive foundation for further development. Artistic Focus The focus is on contemporary art , particularly by artists living in Austria . More than 50% of the represented artists are women. In addition, the owner’s private collection offers considerable potential for future programming and business development. The gallery collaborates with over 50 renowned and emerging artists. Clients The network comprises approximately 2,700 active contacts and has been continuously expanded. About 350 individuals are active buyers . Among them are several top collectors, each with sales to date exceeding EUR 100,000. High customer loyalty and long-standing relationships are key factors in the gallery’s success. Location The gallery is situated in an excellent location in Vienna and covers approximately 150 m². A lease agreement for ten years secures the location; of which nine years remain . The monthly net rent is approximately EUR 2,800 . Around 550 people visited the gallery at its opening. An unused vaulted cellar measuring approximately 80 m² offers additional potential for events. Team The new owner is free to structure the staffing as desired. This allows the owner to bring in their own team and tailor the future organization to their personal vision and strategic goals. Infrastructure • Artbutler as the central gallery management system • Drupal-based website with an integrated web store • Mailchimp for newsletters and customer communication • Secure cloud IT infrastructure in a data center Business Model & Collection The gallery does not maintain its own art collection. Commission agreements are in place with the artists with a 50:50 split of the net sales price . After exhibitions, selected works remain in the gallery and continue to be available for display. The overall package also includes the owner’s private collection of contemporary art, valued at just under seven figures in euros. Finances & Succession The financial figures will be disclosed in a personal meeting with the owner. The gallery is being offered at a very attractive investment price. The plan is to sell the gallery in its entirety including a large portion of the collection . The owner is willing to contribute his existing contacts and the network he has built up over the years to the transition.

North Rhine-Westphalia

+Succession Planning+ Long-established construction company in southern North Rhine-Westphalia + Large order backlog

+++ SUCCESSION PLAN +++ Successful specialized company for building renovation and waterproofing in southern North Rhine-Westphalia + Over 50 years in business + Strong order backlog + In-house fleet + Our client is an owner-managed skilled trades business and a specialist in building renovation and waterproofing in southern North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1972, the company has been family-owned for over 50 years and has been under the continuous leadership of the current managing partner since 2004. The company operates exclusively in the existing-buildings market; it does not perform new construction work. The largest service area is renovation, with a focus on building waterproofing; this area accounts for approximately 50 percent of revenue. Additions and renovations contribute about 30 percent; the remaining approximately 20 percent is divided among structural fire protection, external thermal insulation composite systems, mold and concrete remediation, and a crane service. A key differentiator is the company’s in-house execution. Construction projects are primarily carried out by the company’s own employees; in 2025, outsourced services accounted for approximately 10 percent of total project volume. Of particular note is the system warranty on interior waterproofing. The company provides a ten-year warranty on the waterproofing systems it installs, whereas terms of two to five years are standard in the market. According to management, no competitor in the service area offers a comparable guarantee. The customer base is broadly diversified: approximately 80 percent of revenue comes from residential customers, about 15 percent from commercial customers, and about 5 percent from public-sector clients; the company is not dependent on any single major client. To date, new business has been generated almost exclusively through referrals and word-of-mouth. The company employs 13 people. The workforce consists primarily of skilled tradespeople and includes, in addition to management, an operations manager, four foremen, two journeymen, two construction assistants, and three part-time administrative staff, as well as trainees and those in marginal employment. Operational management of the construction projects rests with the operations manager; thus, there is an independent operational level below the management team. Employee turnover is low, and the company provides its own training. The subject of the transaction is the company and a sole proprietorship owned by the shareholder. As of August 2026, the current order backlog comprises 29 construction projects with a gross value of approximately 819 TEUR, of which approximately 385 TEUR relates to the largest single project. Based on the fiscal years 2023 through 2025, we estimate a sustainable earnings base of approximately 1,804 TEUR for the company; the corresponding EBITDA for both entities—normalized for one-time income and personnel expenses—amounts to approximately 142 TEUR. The sole proprietorship owns a vehicle fleet, construction equipment, and a separately located business property. Management rates the technical condition of the vehicle fleet and construction equipment as very good; there is no investment backlog; since numerous pieces of equipment have been depreciated but remain operational, the fair value is significantly higher than the book value. Unlike these assets, the approximately 2,500 m² of operating space used at the company’s headquarters is leased and is not part of the transaction; according to the company, a long-term lease agreement can be concluded. The sale to an external successor is taking place as part of a structured business succession process with the goal of continuing operations in the long term. Opportunities for growth exist, in particular, in establishing the company’s own plastering crew, expanding crane rental to third parties, actively marketing the system warranty, tapping into the commercial and public sector contract business, and further developing marketing and sales. The ideal successor has professional training in the construction trades—preferably a master craftsman’s certification—thinks entrepreneurially, maintains a cooperative leadership style, and understands the established culture of a family-run trade business.

An established and protected lifestyle brand for ski-themed gift and party items. In-house product development, 52 countries, profitable

A brand founded in southern Germany in 2020 that specializes in party, drinking, and gift items with an après-ski theme is for sale. All products are in-house developments; they are protected by design and trademark rights and are manufactured in Europe (Austria/Germany). The flagship product is a shot glass with a custom mold featuring a functional mechanical element. The brand has its own glass mold at the manufacturer and a well-established supply chain. Sales are conducted through an international online store (customers in over 50 countries, approximately 18,000 end customers, 7,000 newsletter subscribers) and increasingly to business customers: sports retailers, the hospitality industry, souvenir shops, distributors, and corporate clients (branding and promotional items). The B2B share now exceeds 50%. The company has no employees and operates with a very lean structure. Logistics and assembly are fully outsourced to external partners. The gross profit margin is around 70%. Following a phase of high marketing investments, the company has been profitable since 2025. Ideal for gift and promotional merchandise retailers, beverage or sporting goods companies, or e-commerce buyers looking to scale the brand through their own sales channels. About the Founding Team: The business is deliberately kept lean. The two founders handle product development, purchasing, sales, and marketing. Customer service and key account management are handled by a freelancer (approx. 10 hours/week). Warehousing, shipping, and assembly are outsourced to external partners (fulfillment service providers and social workshops). Temporary staff for Christmas markets are provided by a staffing agency. The processes (online store, inventory management, B2B orders, newsletters, customer service, accounting documents) are largely digitized and documented. As a result, the business does not depend on the knowledge of any single individual. The founders—an experienced e-commerce duo with expertise in product and hardware development—will oversee the handover during an agreed-upon transition period. Reason for sale: The founders want to focus on other entrepreneurial projects and products. The brand and products are well-established. To take the next step in growth (more B2B and distribution sales, new products, international markets), a buyer with capital and an existing sales structure is needed. The sale is structured as an asset deal: the brand and registered design, glass molds and tools, inventory, online store with domains and content, customer base and retailer contacts, as well as supplier relationships. The founders will oversee the handover.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
