Well-established fishing brand (2013) with its own online store and significant growth potential

Fishing brand established in 2013, with its own online store and significant growth potential, for sale After more than 13 years, I am handing over my business to new owners as I pursue a new career path. The entire business is for sale, including the domain, a professional JTL online store, inventory, customer base, newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels, product formulas, packaging designs, manufacturer and supplier contacts, and a 2014 VW Caddy Maxi as a company vehicle. Since 2013, the company has established itself as a leading player in the high-quality carp bait market. The buyer will take over a business that can be operated immediately, with well-established processes and a loyal customer base. A major advantage of the business model is that in-house production is not required. All products are manufactured by experienced producers. As a result, neither machinery nor production staff are needed. Depending on desired inventory levels, the business can operate from a space of approximately 50 to 300 m² and, due to its predominantly online nature, can be managed from virtually anywhere. There is no need to take on any employees. Upon request, the current technical contact person can continue to manage the online store remotely. The sale is not being made for financial reasons. A structured handover and training are, of course, possible.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
