Versatile concrete restoration contractor seeks successor

This construction company has more than 30 years of experience in the professional repair and restoration of concrete structures. The company employs approximately 30 highly qualified specialists, including construction workers, office staff, and two experienced construction managers. A modern fleet of machinery and equipment, along with a newly constructed warehouse and workshop featuring office space and ample open area, form the technical foundation for a broad range of services, including concrete restoration, finishing, building and underground garage waterproofing, industrial floor finishing, substrate preparation, as well as inspection and maintenance. The customer base consists primarily of construction companies, housing associations, property management firms, and well-known industrial partners, ensuring a long-term volume of work. Investment Highlights - Extensive asset portfolio: Fully integrated operating equipment, including modern tools, machinery, and the company’s own warehouse and office building, which is included in the sale. - Market-independent demand: Concrete restoration is not dependent on economic cycles, as restoration measures are always necessary—ensuring a steady flow of orders. - Experienced management: The managing partner brings over three decades of industry expertise to the table and can continue to provide advisory support during a defined transition phase, if needed. - Growth prospects: Opportunity to expand the service portfolio, secure additional orders from buyers within the same or related industries, and leverage the existing customer and supplier network. Currently, some large orders are being canceled; these could be fulfilled in collaboration with a strategic, financially strong partner. Thanks to a combination of long-standing expertise, modern operational equipment, and a stable order book that is resilient to economic cycles, the company represents an attractive investment and succession opportunity for qualified individuals, construction companies, or strategic investors seeking to expand their portfolio in the construction and renovation sector.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
