Profitable D2C perfume brand with a 46.9% repurchase rate, over 70,000 customers, and long-lasting customer relationships

An established D2C private label in the booming niche market of high-quality fragrance alternatives is for sale: premium-quality fragrances at a fraction of the price of traditional luxury perfumes. The brand was founded in 2023 and has quickly built up a lineup of over 300 fragrances, a customer base of over 70,000 active buyers, and an exceptionally loyal community—as evidenced by a Trustpilot rating of 4.6 ("Excellent," over 3,300 reviews). At the heart of the business model: 45–50% of revenue comes from repeat customers. This translates to a predictable baseline revenue—a rarity in this industry. Sales are 100% D2C via the company’s own online store; the brand is registered, and processes are highly automated. //// KEY FEATURES //// (1.) = 45–50% revenue from repeat customers According to Shopify analytics, 45–50% of revenue has come from repeat customers for approximately two years now—and this trend has been on the rise for years. For a buyer, this means a reliable baseline of revenue that’s highly predictable. Customer loyalty in this niche is also exceptionally long-term: customer relationships lasting over ten years are not a rarity here, but a reality. (2.) = Dream margins in retail: Purchase price starting at €1.85 per perfume The margin between purchase and sale offers considerable potential: A perfume is purchased for only about €1.85–2.10. This results in ample room for marketing, discount promotions, and scaling—especially since many customers order five or more perfumes in a single order, which further increases the average order value and the margin per order. (3.) = Customer base of over 70,000—with potential lifetime values exceeding €3,000 The store has built up a large customer base over the past few years. Combined with a repeat customer rate of 45–50%, this figure takes on particular significance: We’re not talking about just a few thousand customers, but rather a broad, active base that makes regular repeat purchases. Numerous customers—not just a few exceptions—have already spent between €500 and €3,000 in the store over the past four years. This impressively demonstrates the high customer lifetime value in this niche. (4.) = Massive growth potential—the store is just getting started About 95% of revenue has come from Germany so far—expansion into Austria, Switzerland, and the EU is an obvious next step. Marketplaces and influencer marketing remain completely untapped as sales channels. We also see massive potential in optimizing the checkout conversion: The store achieves a shopping cart rate of approximately 20% and a conversion rate of 6.7%—the latter is already well above the industry average of 2–4%. Nevertheless, approximately 13 percentage points are lost between the shopping cart and the completion of the purchase. This is precisely where the leverage lies: According to our calculations, an increase in the conversion rate of just one percentage point would already mean 30–40% more profit—with costs otherwise remaining unchanged. //// NUMBERS //// 2023 Revenue = 805,297€ 2023 Profit = 2,421€ (Start-up & Growth Year) 2024 Revenue = €1,294,451 2024 Profit = €130,140 2025 Revenue = €858,415 2025 Profit = 150,210 Revenue Forecast for 2026 = 850,000 2026 Profit Forecast = 160,000 Sale Price = 420,000 //// OTHER //// Ideal for buyers looking to take over a profitable, registered brand with a loyal customer base and develop the obvious growth opportunities for themselves over the next few years—also well-suited for those new to the industry, thanks to the large customer base, predictable business model, and long-term customer relationships. Of course, the seller will be available for a handover and training period lasting several months. All information is provided without guarantee. The product range extends from standardized and modular systems to custom-engineered solutions. Replacement and wear parts, accessories, and application-specific consulting complement the new equipment business. Market and Customers: The systems are used in the stone, metal, plastics, and glass processing industries, among others. Several thousand installed systems, a broadly diversified customer base, and recurring demand for replacement parts ensure long-term customer relationships and high market penetration. More than 120 years of experience, high brand recognition, and a leading position in the core segment. • Broad installed base. Several thousand systems form the foundation for repeat business and long-term customer relationships. • Recurring spare parts business. System-specific spare and wear parts generate ongoing demand and create higher barriers to switching. • Diversified customer base. The owner focuses primarily on strategic leadership, sales, and the approval of exceptional custom solutions. Up to six months are allocated for the operational handover and onboarding. In addition, the seller can remain available in an advisory capacity for up to another twelve months. Potential: • Systematize sales. Active market development and a stronger field sales presence can better tap into existing market potential. • Expand the existing customer base. Replacement parts, modernizations, and additional services offer opportunities for further follow-up business. • Capitalize on internationalization. Existing dealer contacts and direct customers form a basis for expanding into selected foreign markets. Transaction: As part of an external succession plan, 100% of the company’s shares are for sale. A share deal is planned. The property used for business operations can, in principle, be included in the transaction. Buyer Profile: This transaction opportunity is particularly suited to strategic buyers from the machinery and plant engineering sectors, as well as MBI candidates with industry experience and a technical or sales background. Strategic buyers can additionally realize market, customer, and product synergies.

An established multi-channel e-commerce company specializing in scooters and recreational products under its own brand

An established multi-channel e-commerce business based in North Rhine-Westphalia, in operation since 2016, is for sale. The business specializes in scooters as well as sports and leisure items. Sales are conducted through a long-established Amazon seller account, the company’s own online store, an existing OTTO Marketplace account, and other relevant online marketplaces. The company also owns a registered European private label. In fiscal year 2024, gross revenue of just under €1.0 million was generated through the online sales channels. Since 2025, due to a strategic realignment by the shareholders, the company has deliberately refrained from further actively expanding its inventory and is gradually selling off existing stock. The existing suppliers for the core product range can, in principle, be continued under a new owner. This makes it possible to actively expand the product range again in the short term. In addition, there are existing contacts with manufacturers for the further development of proprietary products and the company’s own brand. The company has a very lean and largely outsourced structure. Warehousing, shipping, and accounting are largely outsourced or, in part, handled through Amazon FBA. The number of employees listed on the platform refers to the current managing director; there are no operational staff, and none need to be taken on as part of the transaction. Other key assets include a long-standing customer and order history, excellent store reviews, established marketplace structures, extensive product and listing data, as well as existing supplier and manufacturer contacts. For a buyer, there is particular potential in restocking inventory, expanding Amazon FBA and the OTTO Marketplace, making greater use of additional sales channels, and further developing the private label.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
