The unisex designer razor “Made in Germany” with a blade subscription service

Company Profile: The company, based in northern Germany, was founded in 2017. The founder, a manager with many years of experience in creative and online agencies, developed a unique unisex designer razor “Made in Germany.” The product has been available since 2021. At the core of the business model is the combination of a one-time product purchase (razor handle) and a blade subscription for consumables—a model known in the international shaving market (including Gillette, Harry’s, Dollar Shave Club) is known for generating recurring revenue and high scalability. The key building blocks for this are already in place: a proprietary brand, in-house tooling for handle production, an exclusive supply agreement with the established blade manufacturer Wilkinson, and an operational online store with a subscription feature and approximately 350 active existing customers. What remains is the step toward scaling up—through a marketing budget and/or an existing sales structure. Starting point: To date, sales have been conducted exclusively through the company’s own online store and eBay—without performance or influencer marketing, without an Amazon presence, without B2B sales, and without the retail packaging required for platform sales, as the founder lacked the funds for marketing and packaging development. Consequently, the revenue generated so far has been minimal. This is precisely where the opportunity lies: The actual entrepreneurial risk—product development, brand building, and securing the relationship with the manufacturer—has already been borne. Anyone who brings capital for marketing and/or an existing distribution structure takes over a market-ready product with a secured supply chain and can immediately begin scaling up. USPs: • First “Made in Germany” unisex designer razor—1 razor model, 1 blade for everyone • Exclusive, non-replicable supply agreement with Wilkinson • High-quality blade up to 70% cheaper than market-leading brands • Customizable, interchangeable handles in multiple colors • Established blade subscription service with recurring revenue requiring no additional effort • Exclusive, minimalist design—genuinely unisex appeal for both women and men • B2B-ready: branded handles as promotional items; available for use in the hospitality industry and on cruise ships Revenue model: The razor itself generates a one-time sales revenue—the real revenue potential comes afterward: Through the blade subscription, every customer forms a long-term bond with the brand, and every subsequent order generates revenue without additional sales effort. Already today, around 350 existing customers pay recurring fees for replacement blades—and this customer base grows automatically with every new razor buyer. Market potential: Even with a market share of just 0.5%, the revenue potential in Germany alone exceeds €6 million per year. The market for razor blade subscriptions is already competitive—the differentiation lies in the combination of a unique, customizable unisex design concept “Made in Germany” and the exclusive Wilkinson supply agreement, which no other provider offers in this form. Growth drivers for the buyer: B2C • Expansion of performance and influencer marketing as well as promotional campaigns • Development of retail packaging for Amazon and other marketplaces • International expansion into additional DACH and EU markets B2B – completely untapped to date • Hospitality industry (room/guest amenities) • Cruise and travel industry • Promotional items & corporate gifts with branded handles • Co-branding partnerships with other brands Why now is the right time to get started: • Clearly differentiated positioning despite existing competition, thanks to a unique unisex design concept and customizable handles • Ready-to-use online store, including a subscription feature, available immediately • Shaving is a basic necessity—“must-have” rather than “nice-to-have” • Recurring revenue through the blade subscription with no additional effort • Highly scalable business model with market potential > €6 million in Germany alone Purchase price: The founder currently holds 100% of the shares. 100% of the shares are for sale at a price of €80,000. Already included are: • inventory valued at approximately €26,000 • the existing online store, including the subscription feature • the tooling for producing the handles • the exclusive supply contract with Wilkinson • the brand, including design and trademark rights Inventory, production tooling, and the exclusive manufacturing contract thus already cover a significant portion of the purchase price—the brand, customer base, and full growth potential are effectively included. The founder will be available to the buyer in an advisory capacity during the transition period.

Seeking a successor for an established streetwear store in Hamburg

An operational business successor is being sought for a brick-and-mortar streetwear retailer in Hamburg that has been in business for 25 years. The company has approximately 300 m² of retail space, an established brand portfolio, long-standing supplier relationships, its own well-calculated product line, and a fully operational infrastructure. We are looking for an individual who will actively manage and further develop the company. The financial situation is presented transparently: Following significant declines in revenue, the company is currently undergoing a restructuring phase. A moderate loss of approximately €13,000 is currently projected for 2026. The current management structure is too expensive for the company’s current revenue level. The company is therefore particularly attractive to an operational successor who will take personal responsibility for day-to-day operations and structure the workforce according to their own work model. For 2027, net revenue of approximately 576,000 € is conservatively projected. A budget of approximately €124,000 annually is available for the entire human resources organization. Within this framework, the successor can largely determine the operational staffing structure independently. A company car budget is also included. The planning does not assume a significant jump in revenue. Historically, the location has generated net revenue of over 800,000 € ; a return to this level is expressly not the basis of the current planning. In addition, there is a repayment obligation arising from COVID-19 relief funds. An application for a deferral is currently still pending. The acquisition structure should therefore be designed so that the necessary financing remains within the company and ensures its continued operation. There are no other significant external financial liabilities; a guarantee exists solely for the rental deposit. A traditional purchase price is not the primary focus. Rather, sufficient capitalization and the willingness to continue operating the business independently are decisive factors. We are seeking an entrepreneurial individual with experience in retail, distribution, sales, or managing a customer-oriented business model. Specific experience in streetwear is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement. This succession opportunity is particularly suitable for someone who does not simply want to take over an existing store, but is looking for the chance to further develop a fully established business with their own unique touch.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
