Recruitment and Temporary Staffing in Succession Planning

Due to a succession plan, we would like to transfer the company to a prospective buyer who can continue to fulfill our clients’ needs and requirements and who enjoys working with people. We envision supporting the new owner through the final takeover and, if desired, continuing to provide consulting services afterward. If you decide to purchase the company, you won’t be on your own. Management Nord was founded in 2009, initially as a pure staffing agency run by Enrico Hartung as a sole proprietor. Starting in 2014, we expanded into staffing services for logistics personnel and professional drivers, thereby building a company with a loyal customer base and long-term employees. We have made a name for ourselves in the Bremen, Oldenburg, and Hanover region. Both internally and externally, we have motivated employees who ensure the company’s continued success. Our specialization in the commercial logistics sector is the result of numerous requirements and requests from our clients, which have been brought to our attention since the company’s founding. Our goal is not only to provide our clients with qualified professionals but also to offer customized solutions that are precisely tailored to their individual needs—whether for short-term projects or long-term staffing strategies—ensuring sustainable success and ongoing support in all staffing matters.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
