An established premium beauty company specializing in permanent makeup, cosmetic procedures, and training

A company in the premium beauty and cosmetics sector—successfully established since 2012—is for sale, specializing in permanent makeup and cosmetic procedures using specialized equipment. The company has built up a client base of approximately 2,000 customers over many years, including about 1,000 regular, returning clients. Under normal business operations, there is typically a booking lead time of about two to three months. In addition to its treatment services, the company operates a certified academy offering both in-person and online training courses. Professional training materials, protected name and trademark rights, and the complementary sale of professional products and equipment are also integral parts of the established business model. The approximately 120 m² business premises feature three separate treatment rooms, a kitchen, a guest restroom, and a bathroom. The lease agreement is open-ended. The monthly rent, including utilities, is approximately €2,000. The business has extensive professional equipment valued at approximately €70,000 and can generally be continued without major additional investments. The business is currently managed by the owner. There are additional opportunities for growth, particularly through hiring additional specialized staff and further expanding the academy, online offerings, and sales. The sale is being conducted solely due to the owner’s planned emigration. Comprehensive training and an orderly handover are possible. For reasons of discretion, the company name and exact location will only be disclosed upon serious interest in purchasing.

An established manufacturer of surface treatment equipment

A long-established specialty provider with a broad installed base, high customer loyalty, and concrete growth potential. Established more than 120 years ago, the company develops and manufactures durable equipment for industrial and artisanal surface finishing. The product range extends from standardized and modular systems to custom-engineered solutions. Replacement and wear parts, accessories, and application-specific consulting complement the new equipment business. Market and Customers: The systems are used in the stone, metal, plastics, and glass processing industries, among others. Several thousand installed systems, a broadly diversified customer base, and recurring demand for replacement parts ensure long-term customer relationships and high market penetration. The company holds a leading position in its core segment, the stone industry. Investment Highlights: • Established niche position. More than 120 years of experience, high brand recognition, and a leading position in the core segment. • Broad installed base. Several thousand systems form the foundation for repeat business and long-term customer relationships. • Recurring spare parts business. System-specific spare and wear parts generate ongoing demand and create higher barriers to switching. • Diversified customer base. Customers from the trades, small and medium-sized businesses, and industry limit dependence on individual customers. • Technical expertise. Proven designs and application-specific process knowledge enable tailor-made solutions. • Resilient organization. A long-standing team, clear responsibilities, and documented procedures support the transfer of operational management. Organization and Succession: Standard processes are already handled independently by the team; operational responsibility is distributed among production management, engineering, sales, and administration. The owner focuses primarily on strategic leadership, sales, and the approval of exceptional custom solutions. Up to six months are allocated for the operational handover and onboarding. In addition, the seller can remain available in an advisory capacity for up to another twelve months. Potential: • Systematize sales. Active market development and a stronger field sales presence can better tap into existing market potential. • Expand the existing customer base. Replacement parts, modernizations, and additional services offer opportunities for further follow-up business. • Capitalize on internationalization. Existing dealer contacts and direct customers form a basis for expanding into selected foreign markets. Transaction: As part of an external succession plan, 100% of the company’s shares are for sale. A share deal is planned. The property used for business operations can, in principle, be included in the transaction. Buyer Profile: This transaction opportunity is particularly suited to strategic buyers from the machinery and plant engineering sectors, as well as MBI candidates with industry experience and a technical or sales background. Strategic buyers can additionally realize market, customer, and product synergies.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
