Disruptive Housing Construction—Lean Design/Construction as a Streamlined Structure

Lean Design/Construction as a streamlined building structure—multi-story residential building as an industrial product Zweieck-Haus: Development and assembly without waste—seeking responsible and strategically minded partners who are interested in collaborating to further develop a lightweight, platform-based prefabricated construction method for residential buildings as a standardized building system that integrates climate neutrality, sustainability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness? This should be an active collaboration in the form of corporate participation—financially, structurally, technologically, and logistically. We are not looking for traditional general contractors, but rather partners with industrial foresight in the spirit of and for Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA). The lightweight platform assembly construction method: A radical paradigm shift. Moving away from traditional construction methods in residential construction toward industrial manufacturing (Product-as-a-Service). The transfer of the OEM principle (Original Equipment Manufacturer) from the automotive industry to the residential construction sector. A modular platform strategy , similar to the “Modular Transverse Matrix” (MQB) at VW. We will not resolve the housing construction impasse through subsidies, but through technological sovereignty. We do not build houses—we produce asset units in a closed, vertically integrated cycle. Buckminster Fuller’s provocative question—“How much does your building weigh, Mr. Foster?”—remains highly relevant today. This is especially true in an era where resource productivity is playing an increasingly important role in the construction industry. Every metric ton of material that isn’t used in construction doesn’t have to be paid for, transported, hoisted, or set on a foundation—and it doesn’t take up space that could be rented out. So, Industry 4.0—similar, for example, to automotive manufacturing—is linked with Industry 1.0, i.e., the construction industry, in such a way that a completely different approach to residential construction is developed and implemented as a craft-based, process-oriented, lightweight platform assembly construction method. We control the entire value chain. We are independent of volatile external influences and the dysfunctional skilled trades market. We are a registered participant in the Lightweight Construction Atlas of the Federal Ministry of Economics.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
