The repair market is highly fragmented and includes manufacturers with authorized service partners, electronics retailers offering repair services, nationwide chain stores and mail-in repair providers, as well as numerous small, mostly owner-operated repair shops. Indirectly, repairs compete with the purchase of a new device. According to the owner’s assessment, there are no individual competitors of particular significance in the immediate vicinity, but rather a large number of small providers.
