Turkish entrepreneurship has undergone impressive growth in recent years, characterized by innovation, diversity, and a strong commitment to global growth. The Turkish business landscape ranges from small family-owned businesses to large multinational corporations, spanning a wide variety of industries in which they have established a significant presence. Entrepreneurs’ ability to respond flexibly to market changes has helped ensure that the Turkish economy remains resilient even in uncertain times. This is an asset from which Germany can only benefit. Turkish entrepreneurs have increasingly focused on innovation and technological progress to remain competitive. Turkish startups and established companies have made significant strides, particularly in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).
Support for research and development, as well as collaboration with international partners, is helping Turkey secure an increasingly firm place on the global innovation map. Turkish entrepreneurs have recognized that expanding beyond national borders is crucial to ensuring sustainable growth. Numerous Turkish companies have successfully entered international markets and are helping to strengthen Turkey’s image as a global economic player. The ability to adapt to different cultural and business contexts has helped Turkish companies operate successfully worldwide.
Turkey and Germany have a long history of economic cooperation. Both countries benefit from a strong trade partnership. This close economic integration has created a solid foundation for deeper cooperation, particularly in the area of follow-up projects.
The reasons why Germany stands out as an investment destination from the perspective of Turkish companies are clear:
Technology and brand value: German companies are known worldwide for their advanced technologies and innovative approaches. The “Made in Germany” brand is highly regarded in Turkey.
Market Access and Diversification: As one of Europe’s largest economies, Germany offers Turkish companies the opportunity to expand their market access and diversify within an economically stable environment. This is viewed as a long-term strategy to hedge against global uncertainties.
Connections: The already strong diaspora and the cultural ties between Turkey and Germany create a positive atmosphere for business relationships.
Added to this are the inherent advantages of business succession.
The increasing exchange and growing interest of Turkish companies in German succession projects mark a revealing development in the economic landscape of both countries. This collaboration has the potential to promote technology transfer and create new opportunities for growth and innovation on both sides. It remains to be seen how this trend will develop in the coming years and what positive effects it will have on the economies of both countries.
As the Turkish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, we are closely monitoring this trend and supporting and promoting these processes on both sides. In this context, we are particularly pleased to be able to work closely with DUB and create added value for both countries.
A successful transition not only opens up new prospects but also lays the foundation for a successful future for the company and its location. With this in mind, we wish all our readers a successful start to 2024!
