Well-established specialized management consulting firm for freight forwarding and logistics

A 61.3% majority stake is for sale in a management consulting firm that has been in business for over 16 years and specializes in freight forwarding and logistics companies. The GmbH, which operates nationwide, generates an average annual revenue of approximately €560,000 (2021–2025) with a staff of 2.4 full-time equivalents. Its consulting services focus on business management (costing, planning, profit and loss statements, digitalization), leadership, organization, and strategy, as well as succession and M&A processes. The company operates using a standardized, results-oriented business model. Compensation is primarily based on flat-rate, target-based fees (value-based fees) rather than daily rates—a clear unique selling point in the market. This is based on a consulting and success system developed over many years, featuring significant intangible assets, including a reference book, software tools, a nationwide cost database, a trade journal, ERFA groups, seminars, and an established brand. The system offers high repeatability, scalability, and minimal systemic dependence on specific individuals. Succession: The majority shareholder is stepping down completely. The co-shareholder (38.7%) will remain involved in day-to-day operations but will not have overall responsibility. A structured handover over 12–24 months, including the transfer of client relationships, market presence, and knowledge and methodology as part of the structured transition. Seeking: An operationally active, entrepreneurially minded successor (entrepreneur, executive, or MBI). Location-independent, operating nationwide.

Fast-growing AI avatar platform seeks strategic buyer (asset deal)

The company develops and markets an innovative software platform for interactive AI avatars (“Facebots”) that serve as a visual interface for existing chat, voice, and booking systems. The goal is to make digital communication more human, easier to understand, and more effective at driving conversions—especially for non-tech-savvy target audiences. The technology is backend-agnostic and open to integration, allowing for flexible integration into existing system landscapes. The focus is on B2B applications in sales, customer service, and consulting, including in the trades, industry, services, and education sectors. The solution is deployed both directly and through partners and is scalable as a white-label offering. The company has a market-ready platform, its first paying customers, strategic partnerships, and proven sales and use-case structures. A key source of added value lies in the combination of avatar technology, conversational AI integration, and a clear focus on conversion and user acceptance. The goal is an asset deal with a strategic buyer (e.g., a software, AI, platform, or martech provider) that will acquire the technology, IP, customer relationships, and selected team resources. The objective of the sale is to consolidate technological expertise within the buyer’s organization and to integrate the solution as a unique selling proposition into an existing product or platform portfolio.

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
