Well-established boutique Reformer Pilates studio in a central downtown location

An established boutique Reformer Pilates studio in a central downtown location is for sale. Since 2024, the studio has established itself as a premium brand for high-quality Pilates training and has built a loyal community. The studio combines professional Pilates training with a stylish atmosphere and a unique sense of well-being. The high-quality equipment, well-thought-out concept, and clear positioning appeal to a discerning target audience. For a buyer, this presents the opportunity to take over an already established and profitable business—complete with existing memberships, repeat customers, a steady stream of new clients, and well-established processes. The brand, the existing reach of over 3,000 Instagram followers, and existing partnerships also provide a solid foundation for continuing the business. A major advantage is the experienced and well-coordinated team of trainers. All female trainers are certified by leading international Pilates schools. The team and existing structures make it possible to continue studio operations with minimal transition effort. The studio features high-quality Reformer and Pilates equipment from one of the world’s leading manufacturers. The equipment, the existing class offerings, and the established client base create ideal conditions for a new owner to hit the ground running. At the same time, there is room for further growth—for example, through additional class times, personal training, workshops, or new partnerships. The studio is particularly well-suited for Pilates instructors who want to start their own business, as well as for existing operators looking to expand their business. Instead of starting from scratch, you’ll take over an already established concept with a client base, a team, and ongoing operations. We’ll be happy to provide further information and financial metrics to serious prospective buyers after they’ve signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Buying a company vs. buying a firm

Buying a company means acquiring an independent organizational unit that regularly carries out an economic activity. A company can consist of one or several business operations. An individual can also found such an independent unit if they regularly carry out an economic activity — in that case it is called a sole proprietorship. As a rule, sole proprietors don't have to register in the commercial register; without that registration, they don't legally count as a "firm." A trade name, colloquially a "firm," is the name under which a company or sole proprietor appears publicly and conducts its business. Buying "a firm" therefore technically means acquiring the company's name or trading name. In everyday use, though, it's used interchangeably with buying a company — i.e. acquiring the entire business.
