Company Description

For decades, the company has been developing mission-critical software for processing and distributing real-time data in complex infrastructure and system environments. Its solutions connect various data sources and supply downstream applications and operational systems. A second business unit applies this expertise to the integration of machine and plant data.

The software is deeply integrated into customers’ environments. This results in high barriers to switching, long-standing customer relationships, and recurring revenue from support and maintenance contracts. A centrally maintained software core enables efficient expansion to additional customers.

Despite having market-ready and scalable products, the existing market potential has so far been tapped only to a limited extent by the sales team.

This software cannot be replaced by AI. This applies equally to both business divisions and is due to four structural reasons.

·        The critical knowledge is not publicly available. AI can only use what is documented. Data logic, processes, and interfaces for transportation customers are just as little disclosed as the data structure and security functions of industrial machinery.

·        A constant stream of new customer data. In the transportation sector, the software connects up to 15 legacy third-party systems; in industry, every new machine provides its own data. This raw data is not publicly available, and AI has no access to it.

·        Stability comes first. AI does not reliably produce the same result with the same data. Continuous operation and certified industrial interfaces require traceable, repeatable changes.

·        Data sovereignty provides additional protection. Customer data remains in the customers’ systems. For public transit operators, the NIS 2 requirements for critical infrastructure also apply. External AI services can therefore only be used to a limited extent.

The company uses AI itself as a tool for documentation, testing, and the processing of customer data—not as a replacement. The 2026 revenue target of approximately 1.1 million EUR was already achieved in October, meaning the fiscal year will close above plan. Despite having market-ready and scalable products, the company has so far tapped into the market potential only to a limited extent through sales efforts. The shareholder will continue to support the company operationally for three to five years, as requested.
