Four biogas plants at three locations with a total capacity of 3,380 kWel, with a conversion plan to produce 800 Nm³/h of biomethane

A portfolio of three existing biogas/biomethane facilities, plus a greenfield project in northern Germany, is for sale. The portfolio has a combined electrical capacity of over 4,580 kWel and a biomethane processing capacity of 700 Nm³/h. The facilities are in excellent technical and operational condition. Thanks to ongoing investments in refurbishment and expansion, there is no discernible investment backlog. Operations are on a stable footing: The substrate supply is secured regionally and, with farm manure accounting for over 50% of the feedstock, offers an attractive, GHG-efficient feedstock base. The site is operationally secure; management remains available to ensure an orderly transition phase. There are clearly defined paths for value creation going forward. In addition to ensuring continued operations, concrete expansion plans focused on biomethane have been developed. Furthermore, additional development concepts are in place, including plans for heat utilization, land development, and collaborations and partnerships. In addition to the planned biogas processing, partial power generation and the production of liquid CO₂ are also planned. Combined with the greenfield project, this creates a scalable foundation for growth with multiple options for the acquirer.

Zum Verkauf steht eine etablierte Biomethananlage mit einer installierten elektrischen Leistung von 1.336 kWel sowie einer Biogasaufbereitungsanlage (BGAA) mit 350 Nm³/h Einspeisekapazität. Die flexible Fahrweise erlaubt die gezielte Steuerung zwischen EEG-vergüteter Verstromung und Biomethanproduktion aus NawaRo und Wirtschaftsdünger; die Biomethanproduktion lag zuletzt zwischen 24 und 30 GWh pro Jahr, 2025 war die Anlage nahezu vollständig ausgelastet. Die EEG-Vergütung ist bis Ende 2031 gesichert, Offtakes sowie Genehmigungs- und Umweltunterlagen liegen vollständig vor. Für die Weiterentwicklung besteht ein klar definierter Wertsteigerungspfad: Durch Erhöhung des Wirtschaftsdüngeranteils im Substratmix ohne Mengenerhöhung lässt sich die Wirtschaftlichkeit steigern; nach Auslauf der EEG-Vergütung ab 2032 ist der Übergang der BHKW in das Ausschreibungsregime vorgesehen. Damit ergibt sich ein stabiles Betriebsfundament mit klaren Optimierungsoptionen für den Erwerber.

An established biogas plant in Lower Saxony with an installed electrical capacity of 530 kWel is for sale. The remaining term of the EEG extends through the end of 2026; continued operation through participation in the EEG tender is planned, and a corresponding basis for decision-making is available. The plant is in good technical condition and has been carefully maintained. The substrate supply is secured regionally: A significant portion of the required feedstock is sourced directly from local farmers. The long-term utilization of the digestate is ensured through sufficient available agricultural land. The investment offers a buyer an established operational base with clear prospects for continued operation through participation in the tender process, as well as a low level of operational complexity.

Both sites have been in operation for more than 15 years and are certified as specialized waste management facilities in accordance with Section 56 of the German Waste Management Act (KrWG).
