What is DUB.de?
DUB stands for Deutsche Unternehmerbörse, the private online portal with the widest reach for buying and selling businesses in German-speaking markets.
Who is behind the Deutsche Unternehmerbörse?
DUB was founded in 2011 by a Hamburg-based publisher together with Handelsblatt. In June 2025, DUB was acquired by the Hamburg company DEALCIRCLE.
What are my advantages on DUB as a buyer?
DUB.de gives you access to a wide range of businesses for sale of every size and from the most diverse industries. Depending on your user status — not registered, registered or verified — you see different levels of detail in the listings.
With a single click you can express your interest in businesses that fit you. If the seller accepts your expression of interest, you can get in touch directly via DUB.de, sign a non-disclosure agreement and agree on the next steps.

What are my advantages on DUB as a seller?
On DUB.de you can list businesses for sale free of charge and anonymously — whether as the owner or as a mandated sell-side adviser. Your listing reaches a wide range of potential buyers: from MBI candidates and financial investors to strategic buyers.
You stay in control at all times: you decide who can see your listing and choose which prospective buyers you get in touch with. You sign the non-disclosure agreement directly on DUB.de and then exchange information securely.
How do I create a free user account?
Fill in the registration form and accept our terms and privacy policy. You will then receive an email with a confirmation link. As soon as you click the link, your account is activated and you can sign in to DUB.de.
What does using DUB.de cost?
DUB.de works on a success basis — using the platform is therefore fundamentally free of charge.
For sellers: usage is completely free. There are no fees whatsoever for registering, publishing listings or using the platform. We believe access to the market for business sales should be as open and straightforward as possible. Without financial hurdles, a broad and diverse range of sale offers emerges — attracting more potential buyers and increasing the chances of the best deal for both sides.
For buyers: using all features is initially free for you too. Only when you buy a business via DUB.de do you pay a brokerage fee of 2% of the transaction volume, with a minimum of €10,000.
In addition, we offer optional packages for buyers and sellers with extra services. These are not mandatory — you can use all core features of the platform in full without a package.
Selling a business — how does it work?
Selling a business is a multi-stage process: from preparation and business valuation through finding buyers to negotiations and signing. On DUB.de you start with a free, anonymous listing, review incoming expressions of interest and decide for yourself who you get in touch with — including the non-disclosure agreement directly on the platform.

How can I calculate the value of a business?
The value of a business depends on many factors — including revenue and profitability, industry, market position, customer structure and future prospects. In practice, various valuation methods are used, such as the capitalised earnings method or multiples-based approaches. A credible valuation is always a case-by-case assessment.

How do I create a listing on DUB.de?
After registering you can create any number of listings in the seller view.
Start with a description and a few basic facts about the business you want to sell. Based on this information, our AI creates a first draft of your listing. You can edit this draft as much as you like until it matches your expectations exactly. You then define which user groups can see your listing.
Once you have made all the settings, our team reviews your listing for compliance with our quality standards. After a successful review and approval, your listing becomes visible to the chosen user groups.
Note: when creating a listing you also share the name of the company with us. We treat this information as strictly confidential and use it exclusively internally to trace the transaction in the event of a sale. It is never shared with users or third parties.
